La Coka Nostra x Swollen Members

Hardcore Hip Hop was definitely in the Capital early February as Swollen Members and La Coka Nostra hit up Ritual Nightclub for a mid-week show. The two groups set out on a cross-Canada tour earlier this month, with this being the first time La Coka Nostra has toured all together in Canada.

The crowd was hype as Swollen Members (Mad Child, Prevail and Rob the Viking) hit the stage- these Canadian rap legends have been representing Canada since the early 1990s, always keep the audience moving. All eyes were glued to the stage as Mad Child and Prevail put the crowd in a lyrical daydream.

With the crowd still in a daze, La Coka Nostra hit the stage. Ill Bill and Slaine performed a heavy set as they played off each other’s vibes, keeping the crowd spitting back their lyrics.

Probably one of the greatest parts of the show was at the end, when all members of the groups met their fans and signed some autographs. After years of touring and being in the industry, it’s always nice to see artists keep in touch with their fans.

& It’s always good to know that hardcore hip hop still lives in the capital!
