If you’ve never heard of Brothers Beer Bistro it won’t be long until you do. The brand new market hangout is one of the most exciting culinary movements in the city. Bywardofmouth was invited to the media opening night and the experience was incredible. Owners and industry veterans Nick Ringuette, Patrick Asselin and Chef Darren Flowers have really created something special in our downtown core.
Every item on the menu is made with Beer. Need we go on? The menu is amazing. The pig cheek pierogies with sauvagine and roasted potato brodo were absolutely insane. The beef tartar was delicious, melting in your mouth on a crisp house potato chip. Every dish has a beer pairing to accompany it; try the smoked parm asparagus salad with a cold glass of Flying Monkeys Antigravity – you will die. Our personal favorite dish has to be the KFC – Kichessipi Fried Chicken. It’s served with a cornbread waffle, malted honey, gravy, and can be enhanced with a Kichessipi Natural Blonde.
The beer list is exciting and extensive, the food is on point, the owners are cool and the vibe is great. Make sure you check out Brothers Bistro on the corner of Dalhousie & George and watch how quickly it becomes your signature market destination.
